ELEV8 Community Ambassador

Position Overview

The ELEV8 Community Ambassador Program exists to help cultivate a welcoming, connected, and engaged community both inside and outside the gym.

Community Ambassadors are members who help shape the culture of ELEV8 through community-building events, collaboration, and leadership. Ambassadors will work alongside the ELEV8 Community Coordinator, EVEL8 staff, and the team of Ambassadors to create experiences that encourage connection, creativity, inclusivity, and belonging.

This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about people, community, and helping make ELEV8 more than just a climbing gym.

Responsibilities

Community Leadership

  • Actively contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment

  • Help foster positive member experiences and community engagement

  • Represent ELEV8 in a professional and community-minded manner

Event Planning & Execution

  • Lead and organize 2 community events per year

  • Collaborate with fellow ambassadors on additional events throughout the year

  • Coordinate event details including timelines, setup, communication, and logistics

  • Work with the ELEV8 Community Coordinator for support with marketing, supplies, scheduling, and approvals

Meetings & Collaboration

  • Attend monthly ambassador planning meetings

  • Participate in brainstorming, planning, and post-event debrief discussions

  • Maintain communication and follow-through on assigned responsibilities

Community Engagement

  • Help promote events through word-of-mouth and social media

  • Encourage participation and help create a welcoming atmosphere during events

  • Share ideas, passions, and interests that contribute to the diversity of the ELEV8 community

  • Attend 2 other Ambassador's events throughout the year 

Qualifications

Ideal ambassadors are:

  • Positive, reliable, and community-oriented

  • Comfortable collaborating with others

  • Self-motivated and able to follow through on commitments

  • Interested in building connections within the gym community

  • Excited about creating experiences both related and unrelated to climbing

Event planning experience is not required.

Time Commitment

  • One monthly(ish) planning meeting (approximately 1–1.5 hours)

  • Planning and execution of 2 events annually

  • Attendance of 2 other community events 

  • Additional communication and collaboration as needed

Commitment term: 12 months
